1. Who controls your personal information
AdWiz is operated, governed and overseen through Net2You, who is the data controller for the AdWiz service.
The AdWiz advertising engine and supporting technology are supplied under licence by 2xx Technologies.
Email: email@adwiz.co.uk
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to adwiz.co.uk, ads.adwiz.co.uk, the advertiser, publisher and referrer portals, the launch-notification form, support communications, payment administration, referral tracking, ad-serving scripts, reporting, diagnostics and fraud prevention.
Publisher websites and advertiser destination websites have their own privacy practices. Their operators are responsible for their own notices and lawful use of personal information.
3. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, role, login credentials, verification status and account preferences.
- Business and campaign information: websites, domains, ad spaces, campaign names, budgets, creatives, destination URLs, approval records and reports.
- Financial administration: wallet transactions, campaign allocations, payment references, provider transaction identifiers, publisher earnings, referral earnings, payout requests and UK bank payout details. Bank payout details are encrypted before storage and restricted to authorised payout administration. Card details are normally handled by the payment provider rather than stored by AdWiz.
- Launch and marketing information: name, email, area of interest, referral code, source page and communication status.
- Ad-serving and technical information: page and referrer URLs, zone and format identifiers, browser and device information, viewport and slot measurements, visitor tokens, IP-derived or hashed identifiers, timestamps, visibility measurements, clicks, fraud indicators and error diagnostics.
- Communications: support requests, email delivery records, complaints and administrative correspondence.
4. Why we use information and our lawful bases
| Purpose | Typical lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Create and manage accounts, campaigns, ad spaces, wallets, reports and payouts. | Performance of a contract and steps requested before entering a contract. |
| Serve adverts, confirm valid impressions and clicks, apply caps, calculate charges and earnings, and prevent duplicate billing. | Performance of a contract and legitimate interests in operating a fair advertising service. |
| Detect bots, fraud, abuse, technical failures and security incidents. | Legitimate interests in protecting users, advertisers, publishers and the platform. |
| Process payments, keep accounting records and meet legal or regulatory duties. | Performance of a contract and legal obligation. |
| Send service messages, verification messages, payment notices and security alerts. | Performance of a contract and legitimate interests. |
| Send launch notifications or optional marketing updates. | Consent, or legitimate interests where permitted by law and accompanied by an opt-out. |
| Improve the service through aggregated reporting and diagnostics. | Legitimate interests in improving reliability, usability and commercial performance. |
5. Advertising, visibility and fraud data
A raw ad request is not automatically billable. AdWiz may record a short-lived raw serve, then use browser visibility information, timing, visitor caps and fraud checks to decide whether an impression or click is valid.
Known automated traffic may be counted only in aggregated daily bot summaries instead of receiving a detailed event record. Emergency house adverts and technical fallbacks are not treated as advertiser-billable events.
AdWiz does not intend to build profiles of sensitive personal characteristics. Technical identifiers are used to operate, secure, measure and cap advertising activity.
8. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, AdWiz will use an appropriate legal safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations, approved contractual protections or another lawful transfer mechanism.
9. How long information is kept
- Launch-interest details: until you unsubscribe, the purpose ends, or normally no longer than 12 months after the launch campaign concludes.
- Active account and operational records: while the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward for disputes, security and administration.
- Financial, billing, earning and payout records: for the period required by UK tax, accounting and legal obligations, and normally up to six years where needed.
- Unconfirmed raw serve records: normally up to 72 hours where no linked impression exists.
- Zone-health diagnostics: normally up to 90 days.
- Aggregated daily bot summaries: normally up to 180 days.
- Valid impression, click and anti-fraud records: for as long as reasonably required for billing, disputes, fraud prevention and legal obligations.
Information may be kept longer where a dispute, investigation, legal hold or statutory obligation requires it.
10. Security
AdWiz uses access controls, password hashing, verification, fraud screening, restricted administration, provider verification, event caps and operational monitoring. No system can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable technical and organisational measures are maintained and reviewed.
11. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, and withdraw consent. You may also object to direct marketing at any time.
Requests can be sent to email@adwiz.co.uk. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed.
12. Children
AdWiz is a business advertising service and is not intended for children. Accounts should not be created by anyone under 18.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the service, law or business model changes. The current version and update date will be published on this page. Material changes may also be notified through the portal or by email.
